Description
Spelling Book 3 supports the National Curriculum requirements for Year 3 and covers the following topic areas: spelling words by adding prefixes and suffixes (for example, un-, dis-, mis-, -ful, -less, -ness); using rules for adding suffixes (for example, -ed, -ing, -er, -est, -s, -es, -ly); applying guidelines for endings where pronunciation may mislead (for example, ‘le’, ‘el’, ‘ture’, ‘sure’); learning and applying guidelines relating to alternative spelling of phonemes; spelling words with apostrophes.
